My Father's Daughter

I was in church yesterday and I almost dropped my bible. NO i was not dozing off!

You know there are times when the preacher spews like 5 bible passages within one sentence and recites them as though he had practiced them all week....(anybody remember Sunday School memory verses???)

Anyways, the preacher was having one of those moments and I was trying so hard to keep up until he quoted a bible passage that had me do a doubletake....I had to stop, breathe and confirm that he didnt just make it up.

The verse in question was from 1 Corinth 7:31 and it states:

"And they that use this world, as not abusing it: for the fashion of this world passeth away" (KJV)."

After confirming that indeed such a verse existed...I ascertained that I AM MY FATHER'S DAUGHTER!

Arguably, this verse is subject to many interpretations and fashion as stated here might not mean clothing, shoes and accessories....but as I live, breathe, and dream these things....I choose to take this verse quite literally.

And there you have it....from God's mouth to your ears (or eyes as you are reading this)....Fashion is ephemeral...but Style is Forever!!**
